Welcome
You are
invited to the Franco-Canadian Workshop on Combinatorial Algorithms
to be held 18-20 August, 2005, at McMaster University.
The objective of the workshop is to bring together
researchers who are working on combinatorial algorithms, the mathematics
that underlies them, and their applications. Although Franco-Canadian
in its orientation, the workshop welcomes research contributions
from scientists anywhere in the world.
This event
is sponsored by The Fields Institute, MITACS, McMaster's Faculty
of Engineering and Department of Computing & Software. It is
hosted and organized by two McMaster research groups: the
Algorithms Research
Group and the Advanced
Optimization Laboratory.
The organizers
view the workshop as a recognition of the many cultural, historical
and linguistic ties between France and Canada. Their intention
is that the workshop will continue to be held periodically in both
countries.
